We're pleased to share the very latest analysis of BID data, giving you a thorough insight into what's happening around the country, and what might be on the horizon in the months ahead.

We delve into how many BIDs are now part of the community, how much they contribute to the economy, and how many businesses are represented by their existence.

Christopher Turner, says of the latestĀ British BIDsĀ report:

"It is very pleasing that the number of BIDs has grown to 347;Ā I think it's important to note that £150 million a year is injected into the economy from business improvement districts and that we represent 133,000 businesses across the British Isles… we have got some 59 developing bids and that's a very good sign of success in the BID community."

Here's whatĀ Lucy Stanford, BID Project Manager, has to say of the analysis:

"The data in the report highlights a continuation of growth and impact, with 347 BIDs now investing over £153M annually into their communities.

However, it is worth noting that the number of BIDs that failed at ballot has risen from 4 (5%) to 9 (12.8%) in the past 12 months.Ā

This underlines the importance of understanding what your levy payers want and clearly evidencing your role in delivering that for them. Where BIDs are doing this, we are seeing stronger results than ever."
